'It was our first experience to hire a specialized independent research firm. We had a difficult assignment - a search to find a member of the Strategic Committee for the Board for a large Russian power machine building company. Our client wanted a professional with over 30 years of thermal power machinery experience. In order to avoid the conflict of interest the person had to be retired. The search was narrowed to 35 target companies across many European countries. The task was to identify active executives of global thermal power machine producers and the industrial associations' leaders, contact them and receive leads on their former senior colleagues.
